Cindy's designs reflect a love of nature, finding pure beauty in organic forms. Their impact can be seen as she balances precise with irregular. Her creations have a modern edge, with a touch of the past, they embody a confident cool that heightens the wearer's individuality.
Cindy's incessant need to create started when she was just a girl, drawing, painting, making jewelry. She studied art and design at the Art Institute however, the desires of her heart with a continued thirst for knowledge has led her on a journey as a self-taught metalsmith/jeweler.
Her artwork and jewelry has been commissioned by Corporations, NASCAR driver Stacey Compton, book Author - Jill Peterson and her work is in the home of Legendary Country Music Singer Ricky Van Shelton.
She has been published in Belle Armoire Magazine, Porch Magazine, The Jewelry Zine, Crafts N Things, Ties That Bind Book to support Ovarian Cancer, won 1st place in the 2008 Alternative Jewelry Category with Rings & Things. She has taught workshops at In The Artist's Studio in California as well as locally.
Cindy's goal is to create jewelry that will be worn and cherished for a lifetime. She practices traditional metalsmith techniques using ethical, eco-conscious, recycled sources for her handcrafted creations, she believes this is important for her customer and the environment. She also believes in preserving her vintage pieces like antique buttons so she individually hand casts these from recycled scrap sterling silver for a more modern vintage style.
Inspiration for her designs comes from her love of nature and farm life growing up in rural Virginia.
